29-year-old Samuel Aryeetey Kortor also wanted for murder, says police
The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of the man seen firing a gun in a viral video from Jamestown, Accra. Identified as 29-year-old Samuel Aryeetey Kortor, the suspect was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation on April 9, 2025.
According to a statement shared on Friday, April 11, the police revealed that Kortor is also wanted by the Criminal Investigation Department’s Homicide Unit for a separate murder case. A search of his residence in Gbese-Jamestown led to the discovery of a Beretta pistol with serial number PX-195994.

The police said they are actively pursuing other individuals captured in the same viral video. Meanwhile, Kortor remains in custody and is assisting with ongoing investigations.
