The 2-day NFL flag football camp organized by US-based NFL player Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah’s organization NKWA and Titans of Africa in Accra has ended successfully. The camp, which took place on March 1-2, 2025, attracted over 100 youth between the ages of 14 to 17 years from across the country.
Founded by NFL player Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, NKWA (Natural, Knowledge, Wisdom, Advancement) is a faith-based organization that aims to offer equal opportunities and holistic education to student-athletes. The organization emphasizes the significance of a well-rounded mind, body, and spirit through the principles and teachings of sports.
The NKWA camp was designed to unearth talents and develop the sport. Under the guidance of seasoned NFL instructors, participants were taken through fundamentals of flag football, agility training, adaptation of formations, tackling and defending mechanisms, and other vital practicals.
Speaking after the event, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah expressed his satisfaction with the successful event. He revealed plans to establish ultramodern Sports structures to enhance the promotion and development of talents. Owusu-Koramoah called on the government and the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, to adopt the sport, saying, “We need the support of the government to develop the sport and provide opportunities for our youth.”
The president of Titans of Africa, Mr. Mohammed Osman Nkosi, reassured the youth that his organization would continue to enhance their performances by organizing training and developmental sessions across the country. Nkosi expressed gratitude to the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, and other partners for their tremendous support.
As part of the initiative, a flag football tournament was organized for the participants, where they competed among themselves in regional teams. Ahafo Region emerged as the winner of the flag tournament, beating Central Region.

Individual awards were also presented to outstanding players, including Mariam Nabla, Ramatu Opoku, and Patience Kabutey, who were recognized as the fastest female players and received NFL balls. Noble Antwi and Mubarak Mohammed Mahmoud were awarded as the fastest male players, also receiving NFL balls and other NKWA souvenirs.
A selected youth team from this camp will be further groomed for future competitions with other teams worldwide.
The participants praised the initiative, with one saying, “The Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah’s NFL camp is very active and has provided us with a platform to unearth our hidden talents. This is very good and I want to ask him to continue doing it and I am sure one super star will come out from this.”
