Victims in Critical Condition as Police Investigate Land Guard Link


The Kasoa Ofaakor District Police Command in the Central Region has arrested two suspects in connection with a violent stabbing incident that left two victims in critical condition.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  • Richard Kwevi, alias Agenda
  • Samuel Okyere, also known as Kwadie Dede Aquard

Both suspects are believed to be land guards, a growing concern in the Kasoa area.

Details of the Attack

According to eyewitness Ntiamoah Ahenkorah, who serves as chairman of the local Landlords Association, the suspects allegedly ordered the victims to accompany them to One Nai Atopi’s Palace.

When the victims refused, a physical altercation broke out, during which:

  • One suspect reportedly pulled a jackknife and stabbed one victim.
  • The other victim was severely beaten.

Both victims were rushed to Kasoa Polyclinic, where they are receiving emergency treatment.

Chief Denies Involvement

Amid speculation, Nai Atopi has publicly denied any connection to the attack, stating that he has no knowledge of the suspects or the incident.

This latest attack has intensified concerns over land guard activities in Kasoa, an area notorious for land-related violence. Law enforcement authorities are investigating the matter to establish whether the suspects were acting under instructions or had personal motives.
