Scott Mescudi Details Break-In, Car Fire in Combs’ Sex Trafficking Case
Rapper Scott Mescudi, known as Kid Cudi, testified on May 22, 2025, in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial in New York, alleging Combs orchestrated a break-in at his Los Angeles home and a Molotov cocktail attack on his Porsche in 2011-2012. Combs faces charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and prostitution, with a potential life sentence if convicted.
Mescudi stated he dated Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, for a few months in 2011 after collaborating on music at Combs’ request. In December 2011, Ventura called Mescudi, sounding frantic, claiming Combs had discovered their relationship, prompting Mescudi to take her to a hotel for safety.

Mescudi testified that a mutual friend informed him that Combs and another individual were inside his home. He found his security cameras misaligned and Christmas presents disturbed upon returning. In January 2012, his dog sitter reported his Porsche on fire, with a Molotov cocktail found inside, causing irreparable damage.
Prosecutors presented photos of the charred vehicle, supporting Mescudi’s claims. Combs’ defense emphasized that no direct evidence links Combs to the incidents. Combs has pleaded not guilty, denying all charges and related civil lawsuit allegations. The trial paused for the Memorial Day weekend.
