Kofi Mole’s Legal Fight With Bongo Ideas Over Drug Claims
Ghanaian musician Edward Amoah, known as Kofi Mole, is taking legal action against Bongo Ideas, Amazing TV Ghana, and another party for defamation. The issue arose after excerpts from an interview with Elikem of Kwadwo Sheldon Studios, promoting his upcoming “B4 Da Album EP,” were shared on TikTok. These excerpts allegedly misrepresented him as a drug abuser.
A legal notice from Afadjato Chambers, dated May 12, accuses the parties of falsely claiming Kofi Mole uses illegal drugs and suffers from drug-related health issues. The lawyers assert these statements are baseless and intended to harm his reputation, causing emotional distress and loss of business opportunities.
Kofi Mole’s legal team demands an immediate cease, a retraction, and a public apology published weekly for eight weeks. They emphasise their client’s commitment to pursuing all legal remedies to protect his reputation.
The defamatory content has reportedly affected Kofi Mole’s career both locally and internationally. His lawyers are determined to clear his name and restore his reputation through legal means.
