Finance Minister assures of project completion, urges contractor to expedite works.

The stalled Kumasi International Airport project is expected to be completed in April this year, as officially announced. Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has expressed the government’s determination to finish the project, stating that a significant portion of the required funds has been released to the contractor for work to resume.

Dr. Amin Adam highlighted that only two million euros remain to be paid by the government to the contractor for the completion of the capital-intensive project. He assured that this amount would be settled within a week to ensure that the contractor has no funding-related excuses to delay the project further.

The Finance Minister visited the airport and emphasized the government’s renewed efforts to address the challenges that had previously stalled the project. He urged the contractor to expedite the remaining works so that the airport could be operational by April 2024.

Dr. Amin Adam emphasized that the completion of the Kumasi International Airport project would significantly improve air travel and enhance the lives of the people. He reiterated his call for the contractor to expedite the remaining works to ensure that the project is completed within the next two months and opened for public use.
