Prophet Kumchacha Claims Marriage Brings More Problems Than Value – Marriage is Worthless
Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Kumchacha, known for his outspoken nature, has stirred controversy with his recent comments about marriage, labeling it as a source of immense challenges for many couples.
In an interview with Zionfelix on February 19, 2025, the prophet argued that marriage holds little value and suggested it often leads to depression, abuse, and other emotional struggles if partners are not well-matched.
“If marriage were easy, Jesus Christ would have married himself. If he had taken a wife, he might have missed heaven—especially if he had married a difficult woman,” he said, adding that many prominent individuals suffer behind closed doors due to marital issues.
Kumchacha proposed that marriage should be contractual, allowing couples to renew their vows only if they remain happy together.
“Marriage comes with a lot of drama. If we were given another chance at life, I would plead with God to make it a contract so that people can renew it when satisfied,” he asserted.
He further described marriage as “poison”, stating that countless individuals have been driven into depression and subjected to various forms of abuse due to wrong partner choices.
“Many people have lost their lives because of marriage. I see marriage as a poison. If we were to be reborn, I would plead with God to abolish marriage altogether,” Kumchacha added.
His remarks have sparked widespread debate, with some supporting his perspective on the struggles of marriage, while others have criticized his stance as extreme and controversial.
