On TikTok Live with Naa Donkor Arthur, Kwame Eugene vented about how he felt about his contribution to Mr. Drew’s song. He expressed his frustration, stating that he believed he deserved more recognition for his input.

Kwame Eugene emphasised that he had put in significant effort and creativity into crafting the hook, which he felt was a crucial part of the song’s success. He further highlighted that his involvement went beyond just writing the hook but also most of the second verse, going ahead to say,”I wrote like 80% of that song,” talking about Drew’s hit song ‘Case’.

As a songwriter, Kwame Eugene understands the importance of receiving credit and recognition for his contributions. He gets paid for his contributions on other people’s songs but in the case of Mr. Drew, he’s yet to receive proper credit and compensation for his significant role in the creation of ‘Case’. He went on by saying “Drew hasn’t done what he’s supposed to do with the song” and “there is some issues we need to solve over that song because it’s doing good right now”

Kwame Eugene added that he was upset that Mr. Drew didn’t come to him before releasing the song, and all he had only told him was, “Yo bro, the song make we knack,” in response to his contribution.

Whatever the issue is, we hope Kwame Eugene and Mr. Drew can resolve their issues and come to a mutual understanding regarding proper credit and compensation for the song. It is important for artists to communicate and collaborate effectively in order to maintain positive relationships within the industry.
