New South Wales police have confiscated a luxury Lamborghini, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and two Rolex watches from a 39-year-old unemployed Sydney man, alleging connections to organised crime. The seizure occurred following a detailed investigation into the man’s unexplained wealth, conducted by the NSW State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad and the NSW Crime Commission.
The investigation, initiated in May, culminated in a search warrant executed at the man’s Parramatta residence on July 11. Authorities discovered and seized the Lamborghini Huracan, Harley-Davidson V-Rod, and high-end jewelry, all valued at over $500,000. The man had reportedly been receiving unemployment benefits since 2019, raising suspicions about the source of his assets.
On August 16, the Organised Crime Squad charged the man with “dishonestly possess interfered with unique identifier,” a serious offense suggesting tampering with identification markers on the seized items. He has been issued a Court Attendance Notice and is set to appear before Parramatta Local Court on October 4, 2024.
