At the High Court in Accra, efforts to resolve a GH¢5 million defamation suit against Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, have collapsed. As a result, the legal team representing actress Martha Ankomah has requested that the case proceed.

In July 2024, the court was informed that the parties were exploring an out-of-court settlement, leading to a temporary adjournment. However, no agreement was reached. The lawsuit stems from alleged defamatory comments made by Lilwin, prompting Martha Ankomah to seek legal action.

During a court session on October 15, 2024, the plaintiff’s lawyer, Nii Apatu Plange, informed Justice Forson Agyapong Baah that settlement talks had failed, as the defendant appeared unwilling to cooperate. “We made our proposals through an intermediary, but it seems the defendant is not ready for settlement,” he stated.

The judge adjourned the case to November 5, 2024, for hearing. Notably, Lilwin was absent from court, and no legal representation appeared on his behalf. Martha Ankomah, however, was present.
