President Mahama Terminates COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah’s Appointment as EOCO Director
In a significant leadership reshuffle, President John Dramani Mahama has terminated the appointment of COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah as the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). The directive was officially announced by Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Reassignment to Ghana Police Service
Following her removal, COP Addo-Danquah has been instructed to hand over her duties at EOCO and return to the Ghana Police Headquarters for reassignment. Her next role within the police service is yet to be disclosed.

Career Highlights of COP Addo-Danquah
Appointed as EOCO Executive Director on January 5, 2022, COP Addo-Danquah succeeded Steve Raymond Dapaa-Addo. Prior to leading EOCO, she served as the Director-General of the Police Professional and Standards Bureau.
With over three decades of service, she has achieved several milestones, including becoming the first female Commandant of the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC) in Winneba. Her career also includes roles as an administrator at the Police Hospital and the head of the Commercial Crime Unit within the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
