The Ghana Mountain and Trail Federation (GMTF) is gearing up to host the maiden edition of the Ghana Mountain and Trail Race, scheduled for Saturday, February 1st, 2025.
The 10KM race will commence at the Ayi Mensah (Oyarifa) tollbooth and conclude at the Peduase Lodge in the Eastern Region. This challenging route will push athletes to their limits, testing their endurance, agility, and determination.
The primary objective of the Ghana Mountain and Trail Race is to promote the sport of mountain and trail racing in Ghana. The event also aims to identify and reward deserving athletes who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
According to the organizers, suitable measures have been put in place to ensure the successful hosting of the event. The routes for the race have been well-demarcated to ensure clear visibility for athletes. Additionally, registration portals and links have been made available for participants to register for the event.
As part of the events, cash prizes and medals, including top 10 finishers will be awarded.
