In a bold move to transform the educational landscape in Ghana, Malahk Academy, has embarked on an ambitious project to build an ultramodern educational complex in Accra.
The groundbreaking ceremony, which attracted top dignitaries both home and abroad was held on September 12, 2024 and also marked the beginning of a new era in education.
The state-of-the-art facility which is currently ongoing in Hatso a suburb in Accra, is designed to provide a holistic learning experience, will feature 40 plus well-equipped classrooms, a sports field, cutting-edge science labs, a spacious cafeteria, a clinic, an organic farm , project studio and factory and other amenities.
Dr. Belinda Emerson, PHD holder from Columbia University and a board member of Malahk Academy, expressed her vision for the institution.
“We aim to create a learning environment that inspires creativity, critical thinking, and character development, empowering students to become future leaders. We are not only building a school but this is a movement and it’s going across the country”, she said.
Titans of Africa, a sports development firm and Malahk Academy have over the years partnered to promote youth developmental projects including the 2022 successful Dental mission with the pupils of the University of Ghana basic school and among others.
Mr. Mohammed Nkosi Osman, president of Titans of Africa, emphasized the importance of investing in youth empowerment.
“By providing access to quality education and resources, we can unlock the potential of Africa’s next generation and drive positive change.”
With a successful track record within the construction industry, Cosmos Construction, the project’s contractor, has assured that only the finest materials will be used to ensure the building’s safety, serenity, and durability.
Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar, CEO of Cosmos Construction, stated: “We are committed to delivering a world-class educational facility that will make Ghana proud. We have examined the ground and the soil, we have also conducted some research as well.
“We are putting in all our efforts to ensure that the right techniques and equipment are maintained during the construction of the edifice. Right proportions of sand and cement concrete, the finest iron rods among others”, he stated.
However, OSMOH Consult, a Ghanaian consulting firm acknowledged the vital consultation processes of the project and highlighted the significance of investing in education.
The completion of the complex in 2025 will mark a significant milestone in Malahk Academy’s mission to revolutionize education in Ghana.
As the project takes shape, students, teachers, and the wider community eagerly anticipate the opportunities that the ultramodern complex will bring.
