The Act of Cannibalism Leaves The Police Shocked.
A shocking video shared on social media on Friday showed a man carrying a severed body part following a tragic train accident in Wasco. The Kern County Fire Department responded to the collision between a train and a person near G and 7th streets in Wasco at around 8:05 a.m. Sadly, the collision resulted in a fatality, with emergency crews confirming the death of an individual.
In the disturbing video, which was shared with 17 News, a witness reported seeing the man carrying what appeared to be a severed leg. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office later arrested a 27-year-old man named Resendo Tellez for allegedly removing evidence from the scene. Tellez was apprehended shortly after at 7th and F streets, as per inmate records. He faces charges related to tampering with evidence and outstanding warrants.
Following these events, questions arose regarding a separate incident at The Mission at Kern County, where a hand was reportedly brought three weeks earlier. This incident occurred shortly after another train-pedestrian collision in east Bakersfield. However, the source of the hand remains a mystery, as Union Pacific investigators confirmed accounting for all body parts in the east Bakersfield crash. Law enforcement was reportedly called to the mission regarding the hand, although official records do not indicate a corresponding service call.
