Rapper Cites Disrespect as Reason for Exit.
In a surprising turn of events, popular Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, has announced his departure from the Arab Money Gang (AMG) Business record label. Medikal, whose real name is Samuel Frimpong, made the announcement via social media. He did not disclose the specific reasons behind his decision but mentioned that he had been disrespected by the label and its members in many ways.
Medikal had been with AMG Business since he came into the limelight in 2015. He was introduced to the music scene when his idol, Criss Waddle, featured him on the hip-hop hit single, P3 Kakra. Over the years, Medikal has created several hits and found fame through AMG.
Reports indicate that the self-acclaimed co-founder of AMG Business, Sam Sarfo Jnr, aka Showboy, influenced Medikal’s exit decision. The controversy started when Showboy reportedly physically attacked AMG Deuces, an influencer associated with the AMG Business label. Medikal, infuriated by the actions, shared his frustrations with the label during a live interaction via his Snapchat.
Fans have had mixed reactions to Medikal’s decision to leave AMG Business. Some believe that he just needs hype for his concert, while others think that he was right to part ways with the label.
Despite the departure, Medikal continues to make waves in the music industry. He recently promised to fly some lucky fans on an all-expense-paid trip to the UK. The lucky fans will join the rapper in London on May 3 for his debut concert at the O2 Indigo arena in London.
