The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah, has made a bold statement by openly addressing the issue of corruption within his Ministry. During an inspection tour of an ongoing road reconstruction project, he expressed his frustration by alleging that there are numerous corrupt individuals and thieves operating within the Ministry.

Visibly angered by the situation, the Minister stated that even when some of the corrupt individuals are removed from their positions, their replacements often turn out to be even worse in terms of their unethical practices.

This candid admission from the Minister sheds light on the challenges faced by government institutions when it comes to tackling corruption. By acknowledging the presence of corruption within his own Ministry, Amoako-Attah is sending a strong message that action needs to be taken to address this issue and ensure the efficient and transparent functioning of the Ministry of Roads and Highways.

The Minister’s remarks highlight the need for comprehensive anti-corruption measures, ethical reforms, and improved governance practices within government bodies. This public acknowledgment of the problem is a step towards building accountability and restoring public trust in government institutions.
