James Marfo, the talented table tennis player from the KidsForKids Foundation, has his sights set on representing Ghana at the highest level.
After winning the 2025 Ga Homowo Table Tennis Championship, Marfo’s ultimate dream is to participate in the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games.
“My ultimate dream is to represent Ghana at the highest level – the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games. That’s my focus,” Marfo said in a post-match interview.
This goal is not far-fetched, considering Marfo’s recent victory and his growing experience in international competitions, especially after winning bronze medal in the men’s double at the 2025 WTT Contender.
“I play more international competitions now, and I’m gaining more exposure, so that gave me the edge,” he reflected. With his confidence and motivation boosted by his recent win, Marfo is poised to take his game to the next level.
Marfo’s success can be attributed to the support of his manager, Michael Danquah, and his coach, Coach Bright, who have played a crucial role in his development as a player. As Marfo basks in the glory of his championship win, he is already looking to the future, with a hero’s welcome in his hometown of Koforidua and recognition from the New Juaben Traditional Council.
