192kg of Cocaine Seized in Intelligence-Led Operation

Ghana’s Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested a 56-year-old Nigerian national, Uchechukwu Chima, during an intelligence-driven operation at Oyarifa, a suburb of Accra, on March 18, 2025. Chima, who has long been on NACOC’s radar, was found with 192kg of cocaine and 0.42kg of heroin, valued at approximately $2.1 million.

Chima is believed to be the mastermind behind several prior drug trafficking cases in Ghana. NACOC’s swift action removed a significant amount of narcotics from circulation, potentially saving countless lives that could have been harmed by the illicit substances.
