NACOC Seizes Cocaine Shipment Bound for the Netherlands


The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has made a significant interception of suspected cocaine at the Swiss Port in Tema in the Greater Accra region. During a routine inspection on Wednesday, April 23, 2024, officials uncovered a large consignment intended for shipment to the Netherlands.

The cargo, cleverly packaged, contained hidden substances suspected to be cocaine. In total, seventy-three (73) slabs were seized, weighing approximately 89.74 kilograms. This successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of NACOC to curb narcotics trafficking.

Four individuals have been apprehended in connection with this attempted shipment. They are currently under NACOC custody, as investigations delve into the origin, ownership, and potential recipients of the illicit cargo.
