The National Sports College, Winneba (NSC), has donated assorted items to the Winneba Local Prison as part of its corporate social responsibility and to help make the festive period more meaningful and pleasant for the inmates.
The NSC delegation was led by the Director, Mr. Bawah Fuseini, accompanied by the Head of Technical, Mr. Emmanuel Appiah, as well as some senior members and staff of the college.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Prisons Service, DSP Ebenezer Adomako Ansah expressed his profound appreciation to the college for the thoughtful gesture. He noted that the donation would go a long way to support the welfare of inmates and commended NSC for extending a helping hand to the Winneba Local Prisons.
Mr. Bawah Fuseini, in his remarks, reiterated the college’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, stressing that NSC believes in contributing positively to society beyond sports development.
The items donated include packs of toilet rolls, toothpaste and toothbrushes, toilet soap, washing powder, and bags of rice.
The donation exercise ended with a brief interaction between the NSC team and Prisons officials, reaffirming the spirit of partnership and goodwill between the two institutions and interaction with inmates.
