NDC Emphasizes Vigilance as Key to Election Success.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to use drones to monitor the 2024 elections as part of its vigilance strategy. The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the party, Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, disclosed this during a recent tour by the party’s flagbearer, Mr. John Mahama, emphasizing the party’s commitment to vigilance.
Mr. Ashie Moore stated that the party aims to win two million votes in the Greater Accra Region and will begin training constituency executives on drone usage for election monitoring. Former President John Mahama, speaking during the tour, highlighted the importance of vigilance in ensuring election integrity.
Mr. Mahama emphasized that despite campaigning efforts, vigilance is crucial to prevent fraud and ensure a fair electoral process. He urged party members to cover every polling station with “eagle eyes” to achieve their electoral targets. Mr. Mahama also emphasized the need to appoint the right people for election monitoring roles, highlighting ongoing training exercises for election directors.
