Announcement Set at UPSA Auditorium With Former President John Dramani Mahama in Attendance.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is gearing up to reveal its running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, for the upcoming 2024 general election. The much-anticipated event is scheduled to take place at the Kofi Ohene Konadu Auditorium located within the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
This significant announcement was officially disclosed through a press release from the NDC’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, on Tuesday, April 16. The ceremony promises to be a notable affair, with former President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC’s flagbearer for the 2024 election, gracing the occasion alongside key members of the Functional Executive Committee and the Council of Elders of the party.
The gathering is expected to host a diverse array of attendees, including members of Parliament, representatives from the Diplomatic Corps, the Clergy, Nananom, Women Groups, academia, Civil Society Organisations, Labour Organizations, and the Creative Arts sector, among others.
To ensure a smooth event, the Communications Directorate of the party has issued directives for invited guests to be punctual, urging them to be seated before the proceedings commence at 4 pm. Furthermore, all attendees, including guests and media personnel, are reminded to adhere strictly to the guidelines that will be provided at the event venue.
