The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has recorded a resounding victory in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, solidifying its dominance across the country. The Electoral Commission declared John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the presidential elections, with a margin of over 1.6 million votes. In parliament, the NDC has captured more than 180 seats, leaving the New Patriotic Party (NPP) trailing with just over 75 seats.

A significant achievement in this election is the NDC’s increased female representation in parliament. The party will now have 37 female Members of Parliament (MPs), a substantial increase from the 20 female legislators in the 8th Parliament. These women represent a broad range of constituencies across Ghana, marking a progressive step toward gender inclusivity in the nation’s governance.

The inclusion of 37 female MPs from the NDC caucus signals a breakthrough in ensuring diverse voices in decision-making and political leadership. This milestone reinforces the importance of women’s participation in shaping policies that reflect the aspirations of all Ghanaians.

Below are the female NDC MPs and their constituencies:

  • Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings — Klottey Korle
