The Ghana Police Service has successfully located Tony Mintah, the Chief Executive Officer of NextGen Infraco, who was allegedly abducted from the National Communication Authority (NCA) premises in Accra. In a brief notice, the police confirmed his discovery, promising to release further details at a later date. Mintah had been missing since October 23, 2024, prompting police investigations and a public appeal for information.
In an earlier statement, the police urged the public to stay calm and assist with any information that could aid the search. The authorities had provided a contact number for leads and noted that Mintah was last seen at the NCA offices before his disappearance.
In a separate case, the Ghana Police Service has offered a GH¢20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of “Fatau Motorway,” a suspect wanted for his involvement in violent clashes between New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024. The altercation, which left nine people injured, has heightened political tensions ahead of the 2024 general election.
Despite efforts to apprehend the suspect, Fatau Motorway remains at large. Authorities have released his images and urged the public to provide credible information. Police investigations are ongoing, with one person already detained in connection with the violence.
