President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerian youths to cancel their planned protests and await the government’s response to their grievances. Minister of Information Mohammed Idris conveyed this message after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Tinubu emphasized his attentiveness to young Nigerians and his commitment to addressing their concerns.

Highlighting recent government initiatives, Idris mentioned the swift passage of the National Minimum Wage Bill, distribution of food supplies, launch of a student loan program, and plans for a post-NYSC support scheme. These measures, he noted, are part of Tinubu’s vision for an inclusive government.

Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun also warned against the planned protests, deeming them ill-advised and potentially destructive. He assured that the police would ensure the protection of life and property while upholding the right to peaceful protest.

APC leaders urged Nigerians to direct their frustrations at state governors and local government chairmen, holding them accountable for the country’s hardships. They emphasized supporting President Tinubu’s efforts to move Nigeria forward and cautioned against actions that could lead to chaos.
