Samson Deen has secured another term as President of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Ghana, running unopposed in the 2024 Elective General Assembly held at the Accra Digital Center on October 10, 2024.

As President of the African Paralympic Committee, Deen has been instrumental in promoting Para sports across the continent. Under his leadership, Ghana successfully hosted the inaugural African Para Games, where the Black Challenge Amputee Football Team emerged victorious. The Ghana Amputee team also claimed the African title by defeating hosts Morocco in May this year.

Additionally, Deen led Ghana to qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. As President of the African Paralympic Committee, he garnered 24 votes to surpass Morocco’s Hamid El Aouni, demonstrating his strong leadership in the continent’s Para sports scene.

Deen’s primary objective is to establish a solid foundation for Para sports associations in Ghana, aiming to develop top-tier athletes who can compete internationally. He emphasized the need for support from everyone to elevate Para sports to the next level.

Mr. Evans Yeboah and Henry Larbi got elected as vice and secretary respectively, with Richard Teinor as Treasurer, along with four executive members: Foster Kwarteng, Iddriss Ayishetu Farida, Anthony Gyenning and Mary Apedo.
