The National Union of Tricycle Operators Ghana (NUTOG) has officially unveiled its 16 regional executives to facilitate its operations across the country. The ceremony, held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in the Central Region, attracted top dignitaries from across Ghana.

The 16 regional executives will oversee NUTOG’s operations in the following regions: Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Central, Eastern, Greater Accra, North East, Northern, Oti, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West, Volta, Western, and Western North. The executives will be responsible for coordinating NUTOG’s activities, resolving disputes, and promoting the interests of tricycle operators in their respective regions.

The regional executives will play a crucial role in facilitating NUTOG’s operations, particularly in the pragya business, which is a vital means of transportation in Ghana. The pragya business, also known as the tricycle or motorcycle transport service, has been in existence for several years, providing employment opportunities for thousands of youth.

The importance of pragya cannot be overstated, as it provides a means of transportation for millions of Ghanaians, particularly in rural areas where access to traditional transportation services is limited. NUTOG’s efforts to formalize and promote the pragya business will go a long way in boosting the economy and improving the lives of thousands of youth.

“This is a significant milestone in our journey to formalize and promote the pragya business. Our regional executives will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our activities across the country.” The organizer said.

The unveiling of NUTOG’s regional executives marks a significant step towards promoting the pragya business and improving the lives of thousands of youth in Ghana. With the support of these executives, NUTOG is poised to make a positive impact on the economy and transportation sector in Ghana.
