The General Manager of the Obrifo Development Foundation, Nana Kumasah Krampah (II) has called on both local and International investors to come onboard to support the construction and development of the Gomoa Akyempim Market complex.

Under the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional council in the Central Region, the market complex is one of the largest and busiest onion markets within the province, situated on a 400 acres of land.

According to Nana Kumasah Krampah (II), the construction of the complex will boost economic sustainability within the region and the country as a whole.

Nana Kumasah Krampah (II), Omankrado of Gomoa Asempayin and Divisional Omankrado of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area Nyimfa Division, again mentioned that vital documents to aid potential investors in the development of the complex have also been put in place.

“We need huge investors and construction companies to partner with us so we can develop the onion market. It is our full responsibility to make sure the market women experience the best. So let’s come together to push for the development of the complex. When we are able to execute this project, I think it would empower the women as well as boost business activities.” He stated.

“The Akyempim Traditional Council have developed an architectural plan which will be executed with the help of investors. Every needed documents is in place and ready. We need to transform Gomoa Akyempim,” He stressed.

He also disclosed that the community is opened for development. Adding that they have big lands for commercial purposes and real estate developers.

The Obrifo Development Foundation which was launched last year, is a life-changing initiative by the Omanhene of the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea (II).

It is aimed at establishing sustainable employments for the youth, promoting Girl child education, boosting agriculture among others.
