This Challenge Fund, implemented under the World Bank funded Ghana Economic Transformation Project (GETP), aims to support high growth Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in various sectors such as ICT, agribusiness, education, manufacturing, and more.
The programme offers a grant to eligible MSMEs to enhance their productivity and competitiveness, ultimately fostering economic development. Here’s how you can take advantage of this opportunity:
Who Can Apply:
- The programme is open to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ghana.
- Large enterprises and corporations are not eligible.
- Startups that commenced operations in or after January 2022 are not eligible.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Your enterprise must have majority Ghanaian shareholding (51% or more).
- The business must be privately owned and for-profit, registered under Ghanaian law as LLC, a partnership, or sole proprietorship.
- The business should be operating in a non-resource-based sector (excluding extractive and oil and natural gas industries).
Enterprise Categories:
- Micro: 1 to 5 employees, less than GHS180K annual sales.
- Small: 6 to 30 employees, over GHS180K and up to GHS7.2M annual sales.
- Medium: 31 to 100 employees, over GHS7.2M and up to GHS21.6M annual sales.
- Large: Over 100 employees or over GHS21.6M annual sales.
Application Process:
- Complete the application form accurately and provide required documents.
- Documents include Business Registration Certificate, Business TIN, Personal TIN, proof of citizenship, financial statements for 2019 to 2022, and more.
