Televangelist, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Addresses Misconceptions About Masturbation Among Christians

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder and leader of Loveworld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, has stated that masturbation is not a sin before the Christian God.

During a discussion on how to stop masturbation, Pastor Chris clarified that while many Christians believe masturbation to be a sin, it is not inherently sinful in the eyes of God. He explained that Satan exploits this belief to oppress Christians and make them feel ineffective.

According to Pastor Chris, masturbation only becomes a sin before God if it negatively impacts one’s relationship with Him. He emphasized that God is only offended by habits that take hold of one’s mind and lead them away from Him.

Contrary to popular belief, Pastor Chris pointed out that there is no specific mention of masturbation as a sin in the Bible. He explained that references to “uncleanliness” in the Bible do not equate to masturbation and that stopping masturbation is a personal choice unrelated to God.

“In the whole Bible, it does not say anything about masturbation. Now somebody may say, ‘What about uncleanliness?’, but that is not masturbation. You can have uncleanliness in masturbation and many other things. So, if you want to stop masturbation, stop it. It has got nothing to do with God,” Pastor Chris explained.
