This announcement comes in response to a violent attack near Atuba, where a man was killed and his body, along with his motorcycle, was set ablaze. While authorities suspect the incident may be linked to the ongoing Bawku chieftaincy conflict, formal details remain scarce. In light of the growing instability, the Mamprugu Youth Association (MAYA) has called on the government to bolster security presence and enforce the motorbike ban. Meanwhile, Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno recently visited Bawku Naba to discuss strengthening cooperation between traditional leaders and security forces. The Kusaug Youth also expressed concerns about alleged misconduct by police officers, prompting further discussions on neutrality and professionalism in law enforcement.
