The Ghana Police Service investigates the death of G/Sgt Amoah Moses, found in Bobiri Forest with gunshot wounds.

The Ghana Police Service has provided details on the discovery of the body of one of its officers, G/Sgt Amoah Moses, in the Bobiri Forest at Kubease in the Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The officer, stationed at the Ashanti regional police headquarters in Kumasi, was found deceased at the location following a distress call on Tuesday (14 May 2024) at about 11:20 am.

G/Sgt Amoah Moses was found dressed in a green long-sleeve shirt, khaki trousers, and a black boot, lying unconscious in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds on his right leg below the knee. A single-barrel gun and a machete were also found beside him, according to a police wireless statement.

He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) but was pronounced dead on arrival by a medical officer.

Caleb Adu Agyemang, the Assemblyman for Kubease Electoral Area, confirmed the incident and stated that the police have taken over investigations.
