Sarkodie Threatened With Curses, Prophet Demands Apology Over Alleged Comment on Mahama

A Ghanaian preacher, Prophet Mensah, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to rapper Sarkodie, demanding an apology to President John Mahama for what he claims is an indirect jab at the president.

Prophet Mensah believes Sarkodie’s recent comment, “Back to gari soakings like we never left,” mocks Mahama’s return to office after eight years. In a viral video, the prophet performed a fiery ritual with boiling herbs, threatening to invoke spiritual poverty on Sarkodie if he fails to apologize.

“If Sarkodie does not apologize to President Mahama in seven days, I will curse him and his entire family with unending poverty,” Prophet Mensah declared. He added that the spiritual fire he summoned would consume Sarkodie’s fortunes.

While Sarkodie’s statement references economic hardships, it does not explicitly mention Mahama, leaving fans questioning the prophet’s accusations. Despite the threats, Sarkodie has not responded to the ultimatum.

The video has sparked debate online, with critics calling the prophet’s actions unnecessary, while others argue public figures should carefully weigh their words.
