The winner of next year’s Ghana’s biggest cycling championship, Ride Afrique, is set to embark on an exciting journey to Spain to participate in the prestigious Axarquai Cycling Experience. This incredible opportunity is the result of a partnership between Ride Afrique and Axarquai, aimed at promoting cycling and empowering Ghanaian cyclists.
According to Richard Agu, Chief Executive of Ride Afrique, the initiative is designed to strengthen and promote the sport across Ghana and globally. “The partnership with Axarquai is a significant step towards developing cycling in Ghana and providing opportunities for our talented cyclists to compete internationally,” Agu said.
The Axarquai Cycling Experience is a renowned event that attracts top cyclists from around the world. The winner of next year’s Ride Afrique will have the chance to test their skills against the best, gaining valuable experience and exposure in the process. “This is an amazing opportunity for our winner, and we’re excited to see them represent Ghana on the international stage,” Agu added.
The partnership between Ride Afrique and Axarquai is a testament to the growing interest in cycling in Ghana and Africa as a whole. With events like the Tour du Ghana and the UCI Para Cycling Track World Championships, Ghana is quickly becoming a hub for cycling in the region.
The Axarquai Cycling Experience is expected to take place in 2026, and Ride Afrique is gearing up to send its best cyclist to the experience in Spain.
