Ghana’s celebrated Afro Roots artist, Rocky Dawuni, has received his fourth Grammy nomination, sharing the news with excitement on social media. “This one is for Ghana!!” he posted on Facebook, expressing pride in his nomination for Best Global Music Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The nominated single, Rise, is the first track from his upcoming album.
Dawuni shared that Rise was crafted to foster a “deeper sense of connection.” The song was produced by Ghanaian-American producers Nabeyin and FB Da Mastermind, engineered by Marshall Bryant, and executive-produced by Cary Sullivan. Released by Aquarian Records and distributed through Tuff Gong International, the song is gaining international recognition.
