The Afra Media Consult with support from S.O Herbal hospital is set to hold this year’s fairness statesmen peace campaign launch.
The event slated for the Airport West Hotel in Accra is aimed at promoting unity and as part of activities targeted at alerting people on the need for peace in this crucial election year.
The all-inclusive affair would witness a lot of activities scheduled to push the peace agenda and beyond.
In an interview with AccraDailyPost, the project coordinator, Afra Harrison Kwaku Ofosu disclosed measures put in place to support the promotion of the peace agenda.
“Afra Media Consult has invited all stakeholders for this campaign launch. The Peace Council, Christian Council, a number of the embassies, some institutions, banks among others. All the many activities will be listed on the day of the launch and will ask institutions and corporate Ghana to get involved.” He stated.
According to him, Ghana is a peaceful nation and needs all hands on deck to protect it.
“Ghana, we know, is already a peaceful country, and we need to protect it. It is my wish that we all rally behind the idea and projection on peace. And know that without peace, nothing can be achieved. Our neighbouring countries have had some conflicts here and there and I’m not sure we want to experience that.” He said.
Afra Media Consult, the facilitators of the peace campaign exercise which comes off every 4 years of an election year, has received recommendations and massive applause from successive governments, stakeholders and peace councils.
