The Security Services Table Tennis Association (SESTTA) has sworn in its executives for the next four years, marking a significant step towards promoting table tennis development across Ghana’s security institutions. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Hathramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium.

The executives include:

– President: Mr. David Carboo (Ghana Navy)

– Vice President: Afia Oforiwaa (GRA-CEPS)

– Secretary: Madam Debora Allotey (Ghana Immigration Service)

– Financial Secretary: Mad Eva Adom Amankwah (Ghana Army)

– Organizers:

    – Madam Doreen Nertey (Ghana Immigration Service)

    – Mr. Francis Tweneboa (Ghana Fire Service)

– Patron: Dr. Ackon (Ghana Police Service)

– Executive Members:

    – Bernice Borley Borquaye (Ghana Navy)

    – David Lamptey (Ghana Police)

    – Michael Trebi (Ghana Navy)

Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu, Executive Director of the Ghana Table Tennis Association, who administered the oath, expressed excitement about the security services’ initiative to start their own free activity training. This initiative aims to keep players active as the table tennis calendar resumes.

SESTTA’s President, Mr. David Carboo, called for support from the various security institutions to ensure the successful hosting of the league. He acknowledged the support from the Ghana Table Tennis Association and the leaders of the security services. Mr. Carboo also used the opportunity to appeal to corporate entities to support the development of table tennis and the security services league.

With the official induction of the executives, SESTTA is set to commence its maiden security services league. The league will feature six institutions, including Ghana Army, Ghana Navy, Ghana Immigration, Ghana Fire Service, GRA-CEPS, and Ghana Police Service, battling for ultimate glory. The league is expected to run from September to December 2025, with matches scheduled every Saturday at the Hathramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium.
