Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has once again shown his generosity by donating GH₵20,000 to support the education of a young artist in Kumasi.
In a video shared by his manager Sammy Flex, Shatta Wale is seen receiving a striking portrait of himself from 19-year-old Priscilla during his visit to the Garden City. Moved by her talent and circumstances, the musician inquired about her education.
Priscilla revealed that she had completed senior high school but was unable to proceed to university due to financial difficulties. Her mother had asked her to defer her plans while she sought funds for her tuition.
Touched by her story, Shatta Wale immediately decided to assist, asking his manager to contact Priscilla’s mother. During the meeting, Shatta Wale handed over the money to the family, expressing his hope that it would be used to ensure Priscilla could pursue her tertiary education.
Priscilla’s mother, who has faced financial struggles since the passing of her husband three years ago, was overwhelmed with gratitude:
“God bless you so much for this gesture. We have been struggling, but this will make a big difference,” she said.
Sammy Flex also advised the family to use the funds wisely:
“All Shatta Wale wants is for the money to serve its purpose—Priscilla’s education. It’s not for anything else. Let her get all she needs to continue her studies.”
