Elsie Avemegah, the mother of Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale, has publicly criticized the artiste’s manager, Sammy Flex, over claims concerning a house reportedly rented for her. In an audio clip circulating on social media, which Sammy Flex later confirmed as genuine, Elsie demanded a retraction and apology for what she described as “lies” about the house arrangement.

“Sammy Flex! I am calling you to warn you that if you don’t stop this nonsense, I am just on my way to Atiavi, and I will deal with you. You think I am one of those useless old women. Before I get to Atiavi, if you do not come online and talk to the whole Ghana and remove that thing from social media, you will regret knowing me. You will regret working with my son,” she said in the recording.

Elsie also gave Sammy Flex a three-day ultimatum to apologize, threatening consequences if he failed to comply.

Responding to the matter, Sammy Flex clarified his earlier statements regarding the house. He explained that his announcement was an effort to counter negative narratives about Shatta Wale’s relationship with his mother, especially after the artiste had recently provided financial support to a young woman in Kumasi.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel on December 4, Sammy Flex noted that the comments were intended to protect Shatta Wale’s public image. He also presented a clip of Shatta Wale’s mother in church, expressing gratitude for the house allegedly purchased for her by her son.

Sammy Flex further revealed that the audio of Elsie Avemegah was shared with him directly but leaked online by unknown individuals, escalating the controversy.
