Andy Dosty Reveals Shatta Wale’s Early Interest in King Paluta
Veteran broadcaster and entertainment figure Andy Dosty has revealed that dancehall star Shatta Wale once showed serious interest in signing rapper King Paluta, back when Paluta was still relatively unknown.
During an interview on the Asetena Pa Podcast with Akoto Mansa on YouTube, Andy Dosty shared that Shatta Wale’s interest in King Paluta grew after their collaboration on the 2020 hit song “Ahodwo Las Vegas.”
“The person who really wanted to sign Paluta was Shatta Wale. At that time, Paluta wasn’t a known artiste,” Andy said.
He went on to describe how he and Shatta Wale had regular discussions about building King Paluta’s career, including brainstorming marketing strategies and assessing the financial investment it would take to boost his brand.
“I remember after ‘Ahodwo Las Vegas’ dropped, Shatta and I would talk for over an hour about Paluta—how we could elevate his career and the kind of investment it would require,” Andy added.
Interestingly, King Paluta had no idea these conversations were happening. Andy mentioned that they even conducted research and made calls behind the scenes, holding multiple discussions about his future.
Despite Andy Dosty’s later fallout with Shatta Wale, he noted that he played a key role in bringing King Paluta and Shatta Wale together for their collaboration on the track “Adiepena.”
