Social Media Sensation Shares Success Story and Financial Achievements on Delay Show.
In a recent interview on the Delay Show, social media influencer Dulcie Boateng disclosed that she earns a substantial income from Snapchat, surprising many with her ability to gift her mother GH₵500,000 as a birthday present last year, along with purchasing two Range Rover vehicles for her in 2021 and 2022.
Boateng, renowned as one of Ghana’s top Snapchat influencers, explained that her earnings from brand advertising and sales on Snapchat enable her to afford luxury items like the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Velar for her mother.
“Everything I do now is surreal to people because they believe that it is impossible for women to make their own money. It is what it is,” Boateng remarked, highlighting the misconceptions about women’s financial independence.
Regarding her mother’s awareness of her income source, Boateng revealed, “my mother watches me work, she helps me and takes orders for me. Sometimes the money passes through her account so I don’t have to explain, she knows.”
When asked about her earnings breakdown, Boateng shared, “I charge GH₵15,000 for ambassadorial deals. In a month, I take about 8 to 10 deals, so we are looking at GH₵120,000 to GH₵150,000 for ambassadorial deals only. I have worked with Pizzaman, Intimate Queen, and multiple brands.”
Despite her success, Boateng expressed indifference towards her father, noting that he had not been present in her life during her formative years. She stated that his absence does not affect her current affluent lifestyle.
