The Spintex Knights men extended their impressive start in the 2025 Accra Basketball League with a commanding victory over the Police team on Wednesday.
Quarter Scores:
1st Quarter: Spintex Knights 23 – 7 Police
2nd Quarter: Spintex Knights 38 – 21 Police
3rd Quarter: Spintex Knights 63 – 23 Police
Full Time: Spintex Knights 82 – 35 Police
From the jump, the Knights asserted their dominance, controlling the tempo and never allowing the law enforcers to find rhythm. After a strong start in the first quarter, the second saw Police respond with some resistance, but the Knights pulled away again in the third to seal a crushing win.
Post-Game Interview with Coach Salorm Thomas:
“Going into the game, our main goal was to replicate what we did in our previous game against Tusk—start strong, play solid defense, and impose our authority early,” Coach Thomas shared. “We did that in the first quarter, eased up a bit in the second, but got back on track in the third.”
He acknowledged the physical challenge posed by Police: “They’re a tough side—very aggressive and physical. We made it a point to match that physicality, and I think we did it well. That was key to maintaining our momentum.”
Looking ahead, Coach Thomas emphasized the bigger picture: “We always talk about the end goal. Of course, we want to win every game, but if we don’t, that’s fine—as long as we’re building toward a strong playoff run. That’s where we want to peak and win it all.”

Oumar Abakah Outman, who was part of the starting lineup, was the man of the match with 14 points, 2 blocks, and 9 rebounds.
