The Spintex Knights have closed out the first round of the 2025 Accra Basketball League (ABL) in dominant fashion, finishing with a perfect 9-0 record. The Knights have looked unstoppable on the court, brushing aside every team that crossed their path.
Their Round 1 campaign tipped off with a hard-fought 64-59 victory over Airforce. They followed it up with a commanding 70-59 win against the University of Ghana. In Game 3, the Knights overpowered Tusk 67-44 before handing Police a humbling 82-35 defeat in Game 4.
The onslaught continued as they locked horns with GRA’s Braves and “taxed” them with an emphatic 87-56 scoreline. Knights then dismantled Tema Youth 85-54, secured a technical victory (2-0) over rivals Coldstore, and stormed past BSA 88-57.
To cap off a flawless round, the Knights dominated the Reformers 77-55 — a statement win to solidify their unbeaten run.
Reflecting on the team’s flawless performance, Head Coach Salorm credited faith, unity, and resilience for the success; “It was tough, but we thank Almighty God for His strength upon us the playing body and management and also for an injury-free round,” he said. “As defenders, every team came hard at us to frustrate us and make a point, but we kept our cool. There are some major mistakes we’ve identified, and we will work on them going into the second round.”
Looking ahead, the coach made it clear that the Knights are far from satisfied; “The goal is to win all matches in the second round and crown it with the playoffs. We have unfinished business in Africa, so preparation starts now.”
With confidence high and the team firing on all, the Spintex Knights are making it clear; they’re not just aiming for local dominance they’re eyeing continental glory.
