The Accra Basketball League Division 1 returned this week with action from both the men’s and women’s divisions at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
Defending champions, Spintex Knights, wasted no time in asserting their dominance as they took on Basketball School Academy (BSA) in a highly anticipated fixture on Friday, July 11, 2025.
The Knights, who ended the first round comfortably at the top of the table with 16 points, showcased their strength against a struggling BSA side languishing at the bottom with just 5 points. From the first whistle, the Knights controlled the tempo of the game. They closed the first quarter leading 17-10, and by halftime, they had stretched their lead to a commanding 40-15. It was a one-sided affair in the second half, with the Knights outclassing BSA on both ends of the court. By the end of the third quarter, they were up 67-24, eventually sealing the victory with a dominant 80-46 scoreline.
The win reaffirms Spintex Knights’ title ambitions as they continue their pursuit of back-to-back championships in the league.
