Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi, has addressed rumors of a rift with his former vice, George Afriyie. In an interview with Accra-based radio station HOT 93.9FM, Nyantakyi clarified that while he and Afriyie don’t frequently communicate, nevertheless he is open to speaking with him if needed.

Nyantakyi’s comments come amidst widespread speculation about a supposed feud between the two former GFA leaders. However, Nyantakyi’s statement suggests that there’s no deep-seated animosity between them.

It’s worth noting that Nyantakyi and Afriyie worked together during Nyantakyi’s tenure as GFA President, which spanned from 2005 to 2018. While their relationship may have evolved over time, Nyantakyi’s willingness to engage with Afriyie if necessary indicates a level of professionalism and respect.

As the Ghanaian football community continues to follow the developments surrounding the GFA, Nyantakyi’s statement provides a nuanced perspective on his relationship with Afriyie.
