According to reports, the twins’ mother, who was unwell, had dozed off while the children played in the courtyard. Upon waking, she realized the children were missing and began searching the house. To her horror, she discovered their lifeless bodies in the nearby abandoned pit, which had been left neglected for an extended period.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and the bodies of the twins have been taken to the Twifo-Praso Government Hospital morgue. Concerned residents have expressed outrage over the numerous uncovered galamsey pits in the community and have called on local authorities to take immediate action to reclaim the land and prevent further tragedies.
