Miami police have arrested Arthur Nathaniel Booth, a 58-year-old man linked to a series of robberies targeting elderly residents, bringing relief to the victims. Among those affected was 85-year-old Eduardo, who was robbed of his cherished gold chain after a man posing as a plumber entered his home on August 8, 2024. The suspect, Booth, has a history of criminal activity and was previously featured on “America’s Most Wanted.”

Eduardo described how Booth gained entry to his home by pretending to be a plumber, then snatched the gold chain from around his neck as he bent over to turn on a faucet. The gold chain, which had a Saint Lazarus pendant, held deep sentimental value as it was a gift from Eduardo’s native Cuba. Eduardo expressed hope that the chain might be recovered.

Booth, who has a criminal history dating back to 2015, was arrested after detectives tracked him using surveillance footage. The footage showed Booth pawning jewelry that matched the items reported stolen in the recent robberies. Booth was charged with multiple offenses, including burglary and assault, and was denied bond during his court appearance.

This arrest marks a significant step in addressing the recent string of robberies in Miami, providing a sense of justice and relief to the elderly victims who were targeted. Police continue to investigate the case, hoping to recover the stolen items and return them to their rightful owners.
