The National Sales Leaders Conference (NSLC) was launched on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the African Regent hotel in Accra, with a call to action for sales professionals to rally behind the maiden event. 

Scheduled for August 14-16 2024, at the Accra International Conference Center, the NSLC under the theme, “Sales Unleashed: The Role of Sales in Sustained Organizational Revenue Growth and Economic Development”, the NSLC aims to bring together revenue leaders from Ghana and worldwide to share innovative techniques and drive revenue growth in sales and marketing.

The launch event featured prominent stakeholders in the sales and marketing industry, including Mr. Michael Abbiw, CEO of MGA Consulting; Mr. Kwabena Agyekum, Registrar/CEO of CIMG and Jane Kitome, General Manager, Distribution, Allianz Life Insurance.

Mr. Abbiw, in his speech emphasized that the NSLC is a movement aimed at uniting and empowering sales professionals, fostering growth, innovation, and excellence in sales leadership. 

He envisioned Ghana as a hub for sales expertise and leadership in Africa, attracting talent and investment from across the continent and beyond.

“The future of sales leadership is not just about individual success, but about collective growth and impact. Let us come together to shape the future of sales in Ghana and beyond.” He said.

Touching on the roles of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, CIMG, Mr. Agyekum highlighted the critical link between sales and economic development, emphasizing the importance of effective sales strategies in driving revenue growth and economic stability.

“Sales is the engine of economic growth, and effective sales strategies are crucial for businesses to thrive and contribute to the country’s economic development.”

According to the General manager of distribution at Allianz Life insurance, Jane Kitome stressed the need for sales professionals to stay ahead of evolving consumer behaviors and market demands, upholding foundational values like integrity, trust, and excellence.

She said, “In a rapidly changing market, sales professionals must stay agile, adaptable, and committed to excellence to build long-term relationships and drive business growth.”

The maiden NSLC being organized by CorEvents Solutions limited with support from MGA Consulting promises to be a dynamic platform for sales leaders to learn, network, and evolve, with curated sessions, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking discussions.
