FC Samartex 1996 has etched its name in the annals of Ghanaian football history, securing their first-ever Ghana Premier League title with a gritty 1-0 victory over Bibiani Goldstars on match day 32.

The Timber Giant’s triumph was sealed by a crucial first-half goal from Emmanuel Mamah, catapulting them nine points clear of second-place Aduana Football Club with two matches to spare.

Returning to the top flight in the 2021/22 season, Samartex’s rapid ascent has been nothing short of remarkable. Their league campaign has seen them win 18 matches, draw 4, and suffer 10 defeats out of 32 games.

The victory not only brings glory to Samartex but also secures their place as Ghana’s representatives in African competitions.
