Principal streets of Parliament House, Independence Square, the John Evans Atta Mills Court Complex, and the Principal Street of the National Theatre, and others to be affected by the closedown.

The 2023 National Farmers Day celebration in Accra is set for December 1, 2023, and it is a significant event that honors the contributions of farmers. However, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) has announced temporary road closures on some key streets to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and safety for attendees. 

The event will also feature an agricultural fair, Agrifest Ghana 2023, which will transform several streets into a vibrant hub of agricultural wonders. Starting from November 27th and running until December 1st, 2023, the fair will showcase the best of Ghana’s agricultural industry, including innovative farming techniques and mouthwatering produce. Attendees can engage with passionate farmers and learn about sustainable practices.

The fair will take place in a designated area that includes some of the city’s most prestigious locations, such as the Ministerial Enclave and Parliament House. Independence Square and the John Evans Atta Mills Court Complex will also be part of the vibrant atmosphere.

It offers a wide range of activities and exhibits, allowing visitors to explore the diverse aspects of Ghana’s agricultural sector. The Farmers Day Celebration in Ghana honors hardworking farmers through colourful parades, exhibitions, and competitions, showcasing the rich diversity of crops and livestock.
